What are credits?
Credits are used for scenario turns, talking to characters, and generating media. The cost depends on the amount of inference used.
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits reset at the end of each billing period — unused subscription credits do not roll over. Purchased credit packs are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
What currency are credits in?
All prices are in US Dollars (USD). This is a pay-as-you-go service based on actual usage for inference, media generation, and scenario creation/running.
What happens if I violate Terms of Use?
Accounts that repeatedly violate our content policies will be suspended. Suspended accounts lose access to all platform features, and any remaining credits, subscription time, and content are forfeited. No refunds will be issued for suspended accounts.
Can I transfer or gift credits?
No, credits cannot be transferred between accounts or gifted to other users. Credits are tied to the purchasing account only.

💳 Purchases & Refunds

How do subscriptions work?
We offer Free, Explorer, Creator, and Pro plans. Each plan includes a monthly credit allocation that resets every billing period. Subscription credits are used first, so any purchased credit packs last longer. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your Credits page.
What are credit packs?
Credit packs are one-time top-ups available to paid subscribers. They're valid for 6 months from purchase and are only consumed after your monthly subscription credits run out. Visit your Credits page to browse available packs.
What's the refund policy?
Subscriptions: Refunds are available within the first 30 days of your initial subscription purchase — these are processed automatically. After 30 days, subscription payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of your billing period.

Credit packs: All credit pack purchases are final and non-refundable.

Technical issues: Credits lost due to bugs or platform errors will be restored to your account. Contact support immediately if this happens.

AI characters are not licensed professionals and cannot diagnose, treat, or offer guidance on health conditions. Any healthcare-themed scenarios (medical roleplay, therapy simulations, wellness conversations) are purely fictional entertainment created at your own risk. Never substitute interactions with AI characters for consultation with qualified healthcare providers. If you have health concerns, please seek professional medical attention.

👤 Account Management

How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from your profile settings. This action is permanent and will delete all your scenarios, characters, and forfeit any remaining credits.
What happens to my data when I delete my account?
All your personal data, private scenarios, and characters are permanently deleted. Your encryption key is destroyed, which means any message data that may exist in backups becomes permanently unreadable — not just deleted, but cryptographically irrecoverable. Public content may be retained for community use. Deletion is irreversible.
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. We'll send a reset link to your registered email address. The link expires after 24 hours for security.

Important: Resetting your password will permanently erase your conversation history. Because your messages are encrypted with your password, we have no way to recover them. Your scenarios, characters, credits, and account settings are not affected.
Can I recover a deleted account?
No, account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Make sure to export any content you want to keep before deleting your account.

🛡️ Acceptable Use

What content is allowed?
We support creative storytelling and roleplay for adults 18+. All accounts and scenarios default to "Normal" content rating, which allows most content but not explicit material. Users can create "Adult" rated scenarios for explicit content (as long as it's legal and passes moderation). Public scenarios must be appropriate for general audiences.
What are the age requirements?
Users must be 18 years or older. You'll need to enter your birthdate when signing up to verify your age. This platform is strictly for adults only. All characters in scenarios must be 18 or older.
What's our stance on illegal content?
ZERO TOLERANCE. Content involving minors, non-consensual activities, extreme violence, self-harm, illegal activities, and harassment are strictly prohibited. You must comply with all local laws in your jurisdiction.
What about adult content and images?
Adult text content is permitted in scenarios marked as "Adult" rating. All generated images are non-explicit and pass through our automated moderation system in addition to the provider's own safety filters. Regardless of content rating, all content must be legal — prohibited categories (minors, non-consent, etc.) are blocked at every level.

👮 Moderation

How is content moderated?
Every message is automatically screened in real-time during gameplay, before it is encrypted and stored. This runs anonymously with no human involvement. Once stored, your messages are encrypted and cannot be read by anyone — including our staff. No one at MindStage reads your conversations.
What happens if I trigger moderation?
If a message is flagged for prohibited content, you'll receive a warning. If flagged content continues in the same session, your session will be terminated and your conversation history deleted. Repeated violations across sessions will result in your account being suspended. Suspended accounts lose access to all platform features, and any remaining credits or subscription time are forfeited.
How do I report content?
To report inappropriate content, please submit a support ticket using the Contact Support form below. Select "Content & Moderation" as the category and provide specific details about the content you're reporting.
Can I appeal moderation decisions?
Moderation decisions cannot be appealed. All conversations are encrypted with your personal key after moderation — MindStage staff cannot access or review your message content, even if they wanted to. Moderation is handled entirely by automated systems with no human review.

🔒 Privacy & Security

How is my data protected?
Your conversation messages are encrypted with a key that only you hold, derived from your password. Without your password, your stored messages are unreadable — by other users, by our staff, and by anyone who might access our servers. We cannot decrypt your messages. This is a technical guarantee, not a policy.
Who can see my content?
Messages: No one but you. Your conversations are encrypted with your personal key. Not even MindStage staff can read them.

Scenarios: Private scenarios are only visible to you. Public scenarios and their attached characters can be seen by the community.

Media: Images and media in public scenarios can be viewed by other users. Private scenario media remains private.
Is my payment information secure?
We use Stripe for payment processing and never store credit card details on our servers. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.
Is voice chat audio recorded?
No. Voice audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded. We never store, record, or retain any voice recordings. Only the text transcriptions become part of your conversation history, where they are encrypted like all other messages.

📝 Content Ownership

Who owns the content I create?
You retain ownership of your private content. However, any content made public grants the company rights to use, modify, and distribute it. Private content remains exclusively yours.
Can I monetize my scenarios?
Currently, we don't support direct monetization of user-created content.
