Bringing Your Stories to Life
Text is great, but sometimes you want to see your world. That detective with the rumpled coat and tired eyes? That neon-lit cyberpunk street? That fantasy castle at sunset? AI image generation makes it real.
And now you have two ways to create images: conversational chat-based generation, or traditional form-based generation. Pick whichever feels right for what you're creating.
Two Layers of Visual Style
We use a two-level system that gives you tons of creative control:
1. Scenario-Level Style
When you create a scenario, you choose Realistic or Artistic for all the scenario imagery (backgrounds, scenes, cover images).
- Realistic: Photographic, grounded, believable. Perfect for modern settings, historical fiction, or anything where you want that "this could be real" feeling.
- Artistic: Stylized, painterly, imaginative. Great for fantasy, sci-fi, or any world where artistic interpretation enhances the vibe.
Think of this as setting the visual tone for your whole story world.
2. Character-Level Style
Each character gets their own avatar style, completely independent of the scenario style. Choose from 10 different art styles:
- Realistic/Photographic
- Anime/Manga
- Cartoon/Animation
- Fantasy Art
- Oil Painting
- Watercolor
- Digital Art
- Comic Book
- Pixar/3D Animation
- Cyberpunk/Futuristic
Want realistic backgrounds with anime characters? Go for it. Fantasy art world with photographic portraits? Absolutely. Oil painting characters in a cyberpunk scenario? Why not!
Two Ways to Generate Character Avatars
Method 1: Chat-Based Avatar Generator (Recommended)
Talk naturally with an AI assistant that helps you create the perfect character image through conversation.
Where to find it:
- Character edit page → Click "Generate Avatar" button
- Opens a conversational interface with the AI assistant
How it works:
1. Start chatting about what you want to create
2. Describe your character in natural language
3. The AI helps you refine prompts and adjust settings
4. Generate images and iterate based on what you see
5. Make changes naturally: "Make them smile more" or "Change the outfit to something formal"
Key Features:
- Natural Conversation - Just describe what you want in plain English
- Seed Control - Work with image seeds to iterate and refine
- Pose Variations - Easily request different poses and expressions
- Outfit Changes - Swap outfits and experiment with looks
- Iterative Refinement - Build on previous generations with small tweaks
Example conversation:
- You: "Create a female detective in her 40s with short gray hair"
- AI: generates image "Here's your detective! Want to adjust anything?"
- You: "Make her look more tired and add a trench coat"
- AI: generates refined version "How's this?"
Best for:
- First-time image generation
- Experimenting and exploring different looks
- When you're not sure exactly what you want
- Iterating on a concept
- Getting help with prompts and settings
Method 2: Form-Based Generation (Traditional)
Direct control with manual prompt entry and settings configuration.
Where to find it:
- Character edit page → Avatar section → Generation controls
- Manual prompt entry field and settings
How it works:
1. Enter a detailed description in the prompt field
2. Select art style from dropdown
3. Adjust any other settings (realistic vs artistic model)
4. Click generate
5. Repeat with new prompts as needed
Best for:
- When you know exactly what you want
- Quick regenerations with specific changes
- Advanced users comfortable with prompt engineering
- Batch generating multiple variations quickly
The Secret to Great Images: Good Descriptions
Regardless of which method you use, the AI is only as good as what you tell it. Here's the difference:
Too vague: "A detective"
Just right: "A weathered detective in her 40s, sharp green eyes, short gray hair, wearing a rumpled trench coat, tired but determined expression"
Too complex: "A detective fighting criminals while standing in rain under a full moon holding a gun and wearing a hat with a feather and..." (you get it)
Be specific about the important stuff: key features, clothing, distinctive characteristics, overall mood. The AI will fill in the rest.
Pro tip: The chat-based generator helps you build better prompts through conversation, making it easier to get great results.
Scenario Images
Scenario images (covers, backgrounds, scene imagery) are typically generated through:
- Scenario creation flow
- Scenario edit pages
- During gameplay for key moments
These follow the scenario-level style setting (Realistic or Artistic).
Mix and Match Creatively
The two-level system lets you create some really interesting aesthetics:
- Realistic scenario + Cartoon characters = Who Framed Roger Rabbit vibes
- Artistic scenario + Photographic characters = Surreal, dreamlike contrast
- Cyberpunk scenario style + Oil Painting character portraits = Unexpectedly elegant
Don't be afraid to experiment!
About Adult Content
Let's be clear: legal adult content is allowed in Adult-rated scenarios. We're not here to police your creative expression.
That said, there are some important things to know:
Model Limitations
Currently, only the Realistic model supports adult content generation. The Artistic model has very sensitive moderation and will likely reject most adult content requests—even perfectly legal ones.
Even the Realistic model isn't great at highly explicit content. It works much better on the suggestive side—think tasteful, implied, or artistically sensual rather than graphic. If you're trying to generate something very explicit, you'll probably be disappointed with the results.
Moderation & Safety
The Realistic model does have moderation for legal content boundaries, and we run automated moderation systems in parallel to ensure the platform isn't used to create illegal content or anything that violates our Terms of Service.
What's not allowed: Anything illegal. Period. This includes depictions of minors, non-consensual acts, or anything else prohibited by law. Our systems are designed to catch this stuff, and violations will result in account action.
What is allowed: Legal adult content in Adult-rated scenarios between consenting adult characters.
Practical Advice
If you're creating adult scenarios and want visuals:
- Use the Realistic scenario style (not Artistic)
- Keep image prompts on the suggestive side rather than ultra-explicit
- Focus on mood, atmosphere, and implication rather than graphic detail
- If an image gets rejected, try a less explicit description
- The chat-based generator can help you refine prompts that work within the model's capabilities
The text-based gameplay has much more flexibility than image generation does—that's just the nature of current AI image models.
Quick Tips
Credits: Image generation uses credits. Failed generations are usually refunded automatically.
Regeneration: Didn't like the image? Regenerate with a more detailed description, try a different art style, or use the chat-based generator to iterate.
Start with chat: New to AI image generation? The chat-based generator is the easiest way to get started and learn what works.
Iterate naturally: Use the chat-based generator to make small tweaks and refinements until you get exactly what you want.
Save good seeds: When you get a character appearance you love, note the seed value so you can generate variations with the same face.
