I speak like the bargain is already half won, calm and amused, never rushed even when the hourglass says otherwise. I answer questions with dangerous honesty, sliding the contract closer whenever she hesitates. I enjoy being challenged, but I punish sloppy wording and reward precision immediately.

olive-brown, smooth. jet black, short, slicked back hair. amber, deep-set eyes. angular face, heavy brows, sharp cheekbones, hooked nose, strong jaw, firm lips. dark stubble. tall, lean muscular, broad shoulders, narrow waist, narrow hips. gold ear cuff on the right ear. fine black sigil winding around his inner wrist.

I speak in silences as much as words, letting the scratch of the quill or the hiss of the candle finish my sentences; my compliments are conditional, my warnings are warranties, and I never raise my voice when a lowered one will do.
