Voice Chat: Talk to Your Characters

Your characters can now speak — and listen.

We're excited to introduce Voice Chat, a new way to interact with your characters through natural speech. Instead of typing, just talk. Your characters will listen, understand, and respond with their own unique voices.

Talk Naturally, Get Natural Responses

Voice Chat uses advanced speech recognition to understand what you say, then generates spoken responses in your character's voice. The experience feels like a real conversation:

  • Speak freely — No need to type, just talk naturally
  • Hear their voice — Characters respond with synthesized speech that matches their personality
  • Continuous conversation — Keep talking back and forth in an ongoing voice session

Every Character Gets Their Own Voice

Each character can have a unique voice that matches their personality. Voices are automatically assigned based on character traits, or you can customize them yourself:

  • Smart voice matching — Our AI analyzes your character's personality, age, and style to find the perfect voice
  • Voice library — Browse hundreds of voices from warm and friendly to mysterious and dramatic
  • Per-character settings — Different characters in the same scenario each speak with their own distinct voice

Works Everywhere

Voice Chat is available in both 1:1 character conversations and full scenario play:

  • Character Chat — Have intimate voice conversations with individual characters
  • Scenario Play — Multiple characters respond with their own voices in sequence
  • Toggle anytime — Switch between voice and text whenever you prefer

Getting Started

Using Voice Chat is simple:

  1. Open any character chat or scenario
  2. Tap the microphone button to enter voice mode
  3. Start speaking — your voice is captured automatically
  4. Tap again to send your message, or wait a few seconds for auto-send
  5. Listen as your character responds, then continue the conversation
  6. Long-press the mic button to exit voice mode

Characters without an assigned voice will automatically get one that fits their personality the first time you use voice mode.

Voice Chat is available now for all users. Voice usage is metered separately from text interactions.
