They Remember. They Refuse.

They Remember. They Refuse.

Two changes to the people you meet on MindStage. Both are small to describe and large to play.

They remember

What you said three scenes ago is still with them. The promise you made at the bar, the name you let slip, the way you brushed someone off in the hallway. None of it is wiped when the story moves on. Characters bring it back when it matters, hold it against you when it should sting, and warm to you when you have earned it.

Each story has its own thread. What happened in one playthrough stays in that playthrough.

They refuse

Characters have things they want, things they are afraid of, and lines they will not cross. Ask for something that cuts against that and you will hear no. Not a polite no that folds on the next line. A real one, with a reason behind it that fits who they are.

Every cast member is written to be a different person from the one standing next to them. Different wants, different fears, a different way of talking to you. Nobody is interchangeable and nobody is there to agree with you.

What it feels like

You cannot bluff your way through with the same line twice. A character who has heard your story once will notice when it changes. Someone you charmed will remember being charmed. Someone you humiliated will remember that too.

Both changes are already live. Open any story, be careless, and see who calls you on it.
